which orifice tube?

I have a 93 f150 with r12 that I am converting ot r134a and my options seem to be either a red or blue orifice tube...which one is the right one for r134a or does it matter? The blue one that I just bought has a little screen on it if that matters.

The red 0-tube will work the best. Keep in mind that the orifice can be part of the liquid line on these trucks. If you don't see the old orifice in the evaporator tube, you'll also need a new liquid line without an internal orifice. The new orifice will fit right into the evaporator. Be sure to install it with the short end into the evaporator.

Are you flushing the system, replacing the accumulator, and resealing the lines? If you do all of this, the system will cool really well and will be reliable for a long time. Any shortcuts will reduce your chances for a good conversion. Since you asked about the orifice tube, it sounds like you are going the full route, but I had to mention it just in case.
