Coolant system

Can anyone tell me if the 49' trucks with flathead V-8's had coolant thermostats and did they have a pressurized system, ie pressure radiator cap.

The thermostats are in the heads, inside the water necks.

I pretty sure they have a pressurized system.

They had very low pressure caps 4-7 pounds as I remember...

The guys have it for you John. Correct on all points. You have to go all the way back to the Model T's and A's to find open systems w/o thermostats. Maybe a few of the earliest flathead V8s ran without .....
