gears?
How can you tell what gears you have? I have a 01 F350 CC Long bed. I will be hauling/towing my camper and boat today for the first time. Curious on how she will do. Heading over snoqualmie pass in Washington State. GVW 18000.

On the drivers door there is a sheet that gives you the axle code. Dp a search and you can get the chart that will list each code and the gear. I can't do a search for you right now but am sure someone will help out.

I would assume that you have 3.73s. When empty, you should be running around 2000 RPMs at 70 MPH. If you have 3.73s I would swith them out before any long towing. You will struggle with them on hills and such IMO. I have them and the second I get some cash I'll be swapping them out.
