I'm fabricating my front bumper. Have been for about 9 months now. We work too much to have free time right now. Hope to finish it before the year mark

Im fabricating a panel to replace a section on the passenger side of my cowl, just above the front fender. Rust has bubbled up and I can't find any patch panels, only can find them for the 67 - 72 pickups.

Yeah i just recently had to build a enw tranny crossmember as the new 1410 u-joints at the tc wouldn't clear the factory crossmember, um i'm also redoing the electrics in the truck with a nice simple switch panel, gonna include the gauges and tach in it too, then i'm having to make a cowl hood (using some old factory hoods to do it) as i've encountered cooling issues this year at the bogs cause i've sealed up the engine compartment to good, and i'm thinking of bobbing the bear and dovetail in the front as the rear bedsides are doing the floppy chicken and the front, well i want to make the front fenders pull off with a couple pins to make working on the truck a lot easier, but anyway time to get to work.

Guess I will respond since it is you crazyredneckanyhow;
I would like to thank ihateminimumwage for his help this last week. I have a facility away from my shop that I needed to clean up so I can move some machinery, and welders into. It was a functional shop at one time years ago, and turned into a storage lot, and over the years nothing more than a junk yard! ihateminnimum wage came over to help me clean this place up, and after two really hot days, and way too many beers we made a pretty good dent. Gonna have a new place to wrench on personal stuff again. I have slowed down on working at my shop because I do not wrench on trucks to make a living. I fab other stuff to pay the bills. When I take a truck to the shop, the guys spend more time making brackets, and doing stuff for the truck, that none of the money paying work gets done. I do not need those types of distractions. This did not mean that I wanted to stop working on trucks altogether, just that I needed another facility to use. This shop was perfect just needed to be cleaned up.
I have the lift working again, I have repaired the 480VAC 3 phase electrical, and installed new sub panels throughout the shop. I have run all new copper line for the compressor (brand new IR, bad a$$) I am in the process of moving two lathes, and an end mill over. I wll be taking a small brake, and shear over. Waiting to paint them so they match the scheme of the new shop. I have my bender apart, and some of the parts are out at he chrome shop (yeah I said chrome), and the powder coaters place to get some fancy color. Oh yeah! The new beer fridge is in, and it is way cold, and way full! Gonna need some cool stickers for it. A little more paint for the building, and a few more trips to the scrap yard, and the place will be pretty sweet.
As some of you know, I have a ton of straight sticks of chrome moly laying around, and yes they are still straight sticks. As soon as I get my bender together they will soon resemble my new rock truck. Until then the 75 has been sitting, and the 74 is looking pretty good. I have acquired a D80 and has disc brakes now, and I am trying to work out a solution to get a 40 spline detroit, and axles for it. I will use the shaved 40 spline 60 that I have now for the rock buggy. i did get all of the enigine parts together for my 7.3PSD project. I am installing a twin turbo 7.3 in an early ford 4x4. That is the lowest on the list right now, so you can see that I have a pretty full plate.
One of these days I might take a vacation. Awww who am I foolin? When I am wrenching on these trucks, it is almost as good as being on vacation, just need some hot chics! Gonna have to make room for those too! LOL......

You got a whole lot going on it seems like... interested in how the TT 7.3 turns out, as well as the 40 spl buggy. Pics needed when you get to those projects. Where are you located?

Rob; I am in So.CA. I have a fabrication shop in Ontario where I build conveyor systems, and automated food processing equipment. Distractions like cool trucks really take away from the guys time. The guys mean well, but they spend a litle too much time helping with the trucks, and not enough time doing what they need to be doing, so another shop is in order.
As far as the TT 7.3, I have a bundle in it already. It should make some pretty good power, and serve its purpose. Was gonna go common rail Cummins, but everyone is doing it, and I thought being a little different might be cool. Gotta be a little different you know?
I have some scetches, and than some CAD dwgs of the new buggy. It should be alright. Don't know what type of body I wanna model after, but I am leaning towards an EB. Do loike the liberty grille, but again, all of the custom crawlers have gone the jeep route. Whatever, it is a pretty long ways away, you know, build, change mind about 1000 times, then re-build, change mind another 1000 times, get mad, let sit for a few months etc, etc, etc. You know how it goes!!!!

Yeah I know how it goes, and I agree with all of the professional buggies going w/ the jeep hoods/grills. Boo to that. Although one of my two favorite buggies ever has a heep grill/hood
