well today i rigged up a propane injection onto my truck... using no more then $15.00 and about 30 min. worth of time... lol but idk how good it is on my truck... but i got a normal gas grill propane tank... and i had a regulator for a set of acetylene torches... and i had the acetylene hoses... also and the i only had 2 buy a butterfly valve and 2 male hose ends for it... and i got the hose running into my napa 6637 air filter on the opposite end from where the hose hooks to it but i really don't recomend doing this but hey it does give alot of power at the turn of a valve and i got a ??? for the smarter ones on here... what would this setup hurt??? and what do i need 2 look out for??? exhaust temps or what??? and can u put in 2 much propane???
Can you put in too much propane? YES
This can lead to piston and other damages
Nitrous is a safe setup because once you use too much it wont harm your engine it will just not get the power it should.
Thereare a few diesel/lpg conversions over here in the UK...couple of links attached...just to have a nose round...see what its about etc...
Surprised many of the heavy haulers havn't gone for this system...what with diesel being around the $8.40 a gallon here......that and the 18 wheelers get a typical mpg of between 4-7.........
omg 8.40 a gallon??? and i thought 2.89 was bad... that is crazy i would quit driving if fuel prices got that high... well maybe not... lol and i might hook up nitrous 2 my same setup if it is safer... i would not want 2 blow my motor...
