You guys may have just hit on something that might solve my problem. When mine starts slipping, jumping, etc. the cruise control stops working. It won't reengage until everythings back to normal. Then if it starts misbehaving again, the cruise drops right back out. Had this happen several times on the interstate. Speedo needle seems fine, but it keeps throwing a 452 code in memory. 452- VSS voltage too low. Have replaced the VSS and hasn't helped. Still getting the same code. From what I understand the PSOM sends it's speed signal from the VSS on to the PCM. Could this thing be getting it's signal from the VSS, still running the speedo, and not sending it's output on down the line? Anyone seen this before? Where do you get a PSOM? Don't they hold the calibration for your tire size as well as your mileage for the odometer? Wouldn't a new one have to be recalibrated?
