i have a 2.9 that shakes on low rpms but runs fine when you are over 2k rpms. I had the compression checked and it ranged from 95 to 110. Is this low, and what should the compression be.
That seems very low, almost like it wasn't done correctly. If the person doing the test pulled a "D'oh!" move they didn't hold it at WOT. Those also sound like "cold" results, it should be done at full operating temp, and if necessary do both a dry & wet check. Also would have been a good time to do a leakdown check to give you further info in the health of the engine.
The "general" rule of thumb is if every cyl is within 15psi of each other then they are basically "even". But that is not a hard-n-fast rule. Oh yea, not the same motor, but my 2.3L with 125k+ puts 190-195 across all 4 at full temp dry.
