Would this work on a '93 F150 with an IL6?

An OBDII scanner is for 96 and newer vehicles. I think you would need something to read codes for an OBDI. There are some scanners that will work with both with special adapters.

That 1993 model is EEC-II.

Autzone carries one that reads EEC-II and MCU codes for 1991 up for under $30.
