I have a 96 Explorer AWD. I just found out that the right front ABS sensor is bad. In checking with the Ford dealer he tells me that both fronts need to be replaced at the same time. He couldn't tell me why however. Does anyone know why this needs to done? It doesn't make any sense to me.
you better find another dealer, he dont know crap. the sensor comes in a package with the hub and wheel bearing when you replace the hub unit. it is very common to change out one hub and bearing. if you do that, you get one new sensor. i assume you can buy the sensor seperate from the hub, i have not tried. i bought hubs on e-bay for cheap.
