Headlights not working

The headlights in my truck wont work. If i pull the light switch on the dash all the way out with the truck off then the amber lights on the front come on and the markers on the roof come on except for the outside ones on each side but i dunno if they are just burnt out or part of my headlight problem.

Then if i i start my truck with the light switch all the way in then i get what i assume are the running lights and when i pull the switch all the way out with the truck on then the front amber lights come on and the roof markers except for the two outside ones again. But the headlights dont get any brighter and if im not mistaken then i think they should. Ive already tried to replace the bulbs and i still have the same problem. I need some help!

What year is the truck? I have a 95 f-150 and some time ago my headlights stopped
working like that, had marker lights but no headlights. I had to hold the high beam switch
on the turn signal to get lights, anyway, the turn signal switch was bad.Good luck.Joe

I'm a bit confused by your description here. Do the headlights EVER come on? You're saying when you turn the truck on you have parking lights and you pull the **** and they don't get brighter.... why would they get brighter? And how could the parking lights be on if the **** is pushed all the way in?

Can you please be more clear here? From the sounds of it, you might have a bad headlight switch, or possibly some faulty wiring if you parking lights come on when the headlight switch is all the way in... Did you just obtain this truck?
