Push Button Start

Well my 1990 F-150 is very hard to crank. I replaced lock cyl. with no help to the problem and I really dont feel like taking off the steering wheel. I decided to go with a Push button start, I already bought the part and wires but I dont know which is the ignition wire so I can splice to connect to the new push button. Any help would be great!

Thanks

Before you do all of that, have you tried loosening the two screws on the switch itself and slide it a little (I think upwards). Mine would kill your fingers starting up, especially when it sat in the sun and the flange was blistering hot to begin with. Works like a charm now. Just have to remove the fuse access panel and the 4 bolts and steel cover under the column to access the switch. It may need replaced, but mine had just slid a little over time.

Good Luck

Don't throw the switch away, just hook it up to a real loud horn and blow it everytime you see someone on a cell phone or doing something else stupid while driving...........

I like to catch nose pickers..... especially at stop lights where they can't get away fromthe embarrassment.

Glad it worked for you..

Anytime someone bothers me about a nose pick I just offer to share. That's just the old playground defence - refuse to be embarrassed.
