E4OD tailshaft wiggles
I removed my transfer case yesterday in an effort to track down a sound near the rear of my transmission. After removing the t-case I started the truck and put it in drive. The tailshaft on the transmission spun up, as expected, but it appears to be moving around a little bit (side-to-side/up-and-down). I shut the truck off and grabbed the tailshaft with my hand and wiggled and there wasn't any give. Is this normal? Could this be my noise?

this is a interesting one. i have a ping when i go from drive to reverse and get in the gas quick or from reverse to drive. i know its not the rear end since it was rebuild a year ago, but when the drive train pulls the slop out its very noticable. The trans was replaced last winter so the only thing left is the transfercase.
