I prefer paint and body work -but don't want to tackle anything hideous anymore. Been there done that. I never liked electrical and brake and distributor work--but will do it if I have to,or the wife complains about money-haha!!! Painting is something that I love, but that to is gettin' more expensive just buying the supplies. Yes I do what I can---and through the people at FTE--this past year taught me that I could do it---with their help. Hey 16 yr old ---that a way---like them ole trucks do ya? GOOD FOR YOU----maybe you will be teachin' me in a few years.....Bill

The only problem with trying to sew your own upholstery is finding a non-commercial machine that will make a long enough stitch to prevent cutting the material instead of sewing it. I made the boot that seals the area between the cab and sleeper on my Mack, my Singer machine really didn't make long enough stitches, if pulled very hard the material will tear at the seams.
