it's bent

well i went out to my uncles farm where my wife had my two 55's towed , in between shifts and low and behold , the 74 frame i was modifying to fit my 55 is bent right at the left front suspension . i hadn't noticed this before but i was trying to put the front clip back on to cover up the big block { it had a tarp over it } and nothing would fit right . got a tape measure out and its bent up about an inch and to the right by another half . i was too p.o.'ed the first time at the fact that she had it towed at first by a sling wrecker and they dropped it despite me telling her the front frame rails were NOT welded in . they got about 4 blocks from the house dropped it and it ran into the wrecker . lots of dents mashed up pulleys a valve cover ripped open where the front frame horns made contact. i could go on .... . im still miffed at it but i love her so all i've said is now you just cost me more money to just bring it back to where it was ! it's bent where the spring goes into the frame rail so im pretty much writing it off as what experience i have had with frame straightening has not been good . i geuss its a good thing my son in law has decided he doesn't want to play after all as i now still have the other frame although it's not my first choice , with the monte front clip . im how shall i put this , ANGRY!!!!! , as i was only a little ways from finishing it and doing the cosmetic repairs and finishing the boxing . so much time and work just shot as someone doesn't listen!!!! any of you had an impatient wife who hates your toy's ??????

wasn't a stunt on her part as i had told her i'd move them as she had something planned that required the use of the garage , but it was under the stipulation that she'd have to be patient { yeah right not my wife ! } as mutt would have to be trailered . well as usual i just wasn't fast enough and now this . i can garauntee you it will never happen again . i'm just frustrated . i'd seen it after it happened and i was upset but didn't realize how badly the frame was tweeked until now . i spent a lot of time on that frame and was determined to prove the naysayers wrong and was this close to finishing . i've calmed since this a.m. when i realized it and as usual have decided that there must be a reason why it happened and now i must wait to find out why . oh well scavenge all i can including the nine inch , driveline etc. and i geuss i'll transfer it to the other frame . thanx once again for letting me vent !!!!!!!!

Luckily we have tons of space and shop room on the farm, I just bought a nice 56 F350 that I`ve been wanting for 5-6 years. I had to wait till the price came down to my f it`s worth.
Sorry to hear this, set backs like this one is never good.
