I'd say 61-65, but you'll have to give me the serial string to pin it down further. What you have listed shows an F100 with a 223 six cylinder built in San Jose, CA.
Prior to 61 the 5th character should have been the year number. In 66 there is no "J" engine listed in my book.
Seems like in a previous thread that Number Dummy said the designation for San Jose and Richmond VA got switched in later years?
Was no Richmond, VA. It was Richmond, CA (near San Jose) and Norfolk, VA (about 2 hours from Richmond, VA).
The Richmond, CA plant closed in February 1955 when the San Jose plant opened. The Richmond, CA plant was deemed too small to accomodate the NoCal market.
The Richmond, CA Plant still stands today. The locals have been trying to figure out what to do with it for the past 52 years. There has actually been some interesting history written on the plant.
The Norfolk, VA plant closed last year or will be closing this year.
Of course if you just had a fat finger and hit the "V" instead of the "C" (they are of course right next to each other on the keyboard), please forget I said anything.
...The J engine code designates a 223 1V. Last year for the 223 = 1964.
F10JR: 1961 thru 1964.
OR a '65 with a 240 - at least my book shows the J code for that year and engine. So we still need reamer to come up with the serial string to id the year.
