When you get on it, does smoke come equally out of both stacks? My truck makes smoke come out of the LONG (left) side before the right side which is shorter, the grand rock kit. My buddy just put 7" miters on his truck last night, and there is BARELY any smoke coming out of the left side, 85% of the smoke comes out the right. whats up with that?

I've heard of that happening, but my smoke seems to be pretty even on both sides. The only time I notice more from one side is at idle from my CCV, and sometimes more vapor comes out of the left stack. Strange since it's the one farthest from the T.

I never really checked about the getting on it, except for this video looks right to me maybe the right side starts .2 seconds first. LINK to video blowing smoke

JT my truck does the same thing when i first start it, a small puff of white smoke will come out of the left stack, the right has just a small haze.

When I do stacks for my Death Row guys, I build my own Y pipes. And since I always make them come out in the center of the bed, I have to use a small baffle. I cut a small piece of scrap pipe about 1"x1". And I weld it standing up on the shoulder inside the Y on the drivers side. Since it's in the cavity that is about 8"x6" in the large portion of the Y, it's not a restriction. But it spoils the air flow just enough to get the smoke to come out evenly. I just tack weld it in and when the rest of the system is done I tune that baffle then weld it for good. But yeah, one pipe smoking more than the other bugs the crap out of me.

Stroken, 6" is pleanty big. But don't talk yourself out of something you want. I've never heard of a guy that was embarrassed because someone said "Wow that's big!" Go with your gut. As far as kits that guarentee equal flow, not gonna happen. I haven't seen any "kits" that come up in the center of the bed. They all come up on the passenger side. Making them flow equal is easy if you can weld a little. And even if there are kits that come through the center, they most likely will flow 90% to the driverside because the pipe has to be angled up twards the drivers side. And with no baffle in the Y, that angle causes it to shoot right into the drivers side pipe.

Oh yea, on ebay search chrome stacks in the parts section. Look for a seller called "chromeroom" If you look at their ebay store, they should have what you are looking for. I got one set of stacks from them and they were awsome. Great to do buisness with, great packing and quick ship.
