I was changing the spark plugs on my wife's truck last night. There were a couple of them that were very hard to get to or even see. I found my self using my mirror and light to see the plug. However, I couldn't use the mirror and reach into the area at the same time. Having the mirror, the light and hand/tools in the area at the same time was out of the question. I spent over an hour on one plug.
I got to thinking that there must be some sort of pen light with a flexible stem, or maybe even a pen light with an eye piece.
I've got one similar to these http://www.streamlight-flashlights.c...lus-reach.html
I also have a old light that has a mirror attached to it. The batteries, on/off switch and thumb wheel for adjusting the mirror are on the handle. The mirror and bulb are at the end of a 12" or so stalk. Haven't used it in years.
walmart has has a coast flexlight for 10 bucks in the sports section where the flashlights are. it's ok, the only thing that sucks is it doesn't use standard batteries i.e. aa and/or aaa.
oh btw, coast flashlights are excellent. streamlights are good too but i hate xenon bulbs. yeah they're bright, but they have short life spans and eat up batteries. leds are getting much better. 3 watt leds are excellent but usually expensive. 1 watt and 1.25 watts are reasonably priced though. about the same as a standard xenon bulb.
