I'm using a handheld scanner to figure out a few last bugs after rebuilding my 92 F150 5.0 302. I'm going to hook it up again to make sure I'm getting the wording right but the last time I hooked it up I got a message indicating I had a problem with the "fuel throttle control sensor" - this is the part I have to make sure I've got right.
The reasons I'm hooking it up are:
1. Check engine light is coming on. It's just been rebuilt so I'm sure there are a few little bugs I've got to work out before it's done.
2. Put the truck in drive, runs great. Put the truck in reverse, it bogs down and shuts off.
Any ideas about 1) what/where this sensor is that the scanner is showing as the problem and/or 2) what is making the truck shut down when put in reverse?
