Swapping Intakes
Is it possible to take the intake off of a early 90's lightning truck and swap it into a 95 f150 351w?? i didnt know how much trouble it would take to do this.. i dont know if my computer is programmed to be able to handle this.. if it isnt possible anyone know of any kits that will???

Swapping Intakes
The 1st gen Lightning intake is simply a Ford SVO GT-40 manifold for a 351. It will fit, but it won't give you much without the matching GT-40 heads. As to problems with the PCM, possibly. The engine won't flow a lot more air because of the stock heads, so you may be OK there. Count on losing some low to mid range torque though because of the bigger diameter runners. Have you checked out the Edelbrock EFI manifold and T/B for 351 trucks? It may well do a better job in your application than the GT-40.
