Picked up my F250 6.4 in May and was getting 11mpg around town unloaded at that time. With 2900mi on it now it gets 13.5 around town and 17.2 over the road. I have had absolutly no problems with this truck.

I'm still waiting for mine and while I don't expect to get great mileage with a 450, it is encouraging to know that it should get better over time like yours has.
I'm getting very similar to what you're getting Nipperdog. I just turned over 3000mi and am getting 14.5 in town and 18.5 on the highway unloaded. F250 SC, 3.73, 4x2.
Other than the coolant overflow thing, I've also had no problems.
6500 miles here, and an astounding 7-8 mpg...yeah! Seems like the mileage got worse after they reflashed it for the BBQ recall. Before I saw 9 mpg once in a while.
I just retired my much loved Chevy Tahoe z71 for this 2008 F350 C/C Lariat 4x4 Turbodiesel. With 82 miles, shes got 11mpg city and 16 mpg hwy. Of course, I haven't had a chance to really run it through a tank. Here she is

Hey Speed, is that towing? or driving 70mph with 4.88 gears. My 450 averaged 8.72 towing 16,650# over 1600 miles. So far 11.6 non towing since April
Firehawk........Same here. Towed 630 miles one way to Myrtle and got about the same. Empty is also about 11.5.....although I did see 14.3 ONCE and that was with a cap over the bed and driving 55 mph no faster!
I've got my F350 CrewCab with the 6.4 L Diesel (4x4 3.73 Auto Transmission) since June and I've have about 3,000 km on it now. I get a solid 20 mpg HWY and 17 mpg City driving. The truck exceeded all my expectations so far.
