service engine soon light

the service engine light came on...don't know exactly why...is there any way to clear it? thanks

you can dissconnect the batteries to clear it, but if it comes back you should have the codes read to see what it is.

where can you get your codes read for free??
i thought autozone but they can only read check engine, not service engine?????
i live is salem OR so if anyone knows anywhere around here
