Wierd thump
I have an 02 250 SB, CC, with a 6" lift kit. Recently I have been hearing a periodic thumping coming from the passanger side. It only happens when driving down my pot hole filled dirt road. I think that the anti-sway bar drop links are bad, but not sure. Tried reaching under the truck to see if they moved, with no luck, but I assume that the wieght of the truck just sitting there would keep everything tight. If I lift the frame up should I be able to see if there is any play in the drop links? Is there anything else this could be? It doesn't seem to to make the noise on flat paved roads just when going slow over really rough roads.....Thanks fer the help

Disconnect the sway bar links or remove the sway bar and links all together. If the sound goes away, you know where to start. That's what I did, and it was the links and the sway bar to axle bushings. If you have 6" lift they probably aren't the stock drop links. Either way if that's where the noise is coming from buy a set of polyurethane bushings for the sway bar links and the bar to axle and you'll be good to go for a long long time.

I also have a 6" lift, in for three years, my rear spring bushings went bad and had to be replaced PITA! Then after installation, found that the shackles were hitting the frame when I hit bumps, due to the springs getting tired. The bushings were making the clunck sound and the shackles
