Copied DVD's won't play

I have a 2003 Excursion with the factor DVD player. I am having trouble getting copied DVD's to play. I keep getting the "Bad Disk" message. I have tried both +R and -R formats and I am burning Maxell brand media with the "One Click" software. Has anybody else had this problem and if so have you found a solution? Thanks.

DVDs are copy protected. there is an encryption code in the disc so you cannot copy and burn it.
it is done to prevent piracy.

Does the DVD play in your home player?

If it does it may just be that the 2003 factory player can't read burned DVDs.

BTW, there are many DVD copy programs out there now. I never keep original DVDs in my vehicles. "One Click" from VSO is what I use also.
