I have the frame of a really old jeep(year unknown) which used to have a AMC 232, and I think I can find a 351 and a transmission laying around, how much power does the 351 make?
I think most of the trucks are 80s+, are all the blocks the same?
If a new timeing chain cover is found(maybe more "junkyard hunting") the old 232 should probbably move the jeep a lot faster without any body(converting it to a "dune buggy").
If you can get a hold of pastmaster, he'll definitely know. I have an 85 351HO that put out 210 horspower and something like 310 torque, so they definitely can make good power. Plenty of mods out there for them too.
yea, get the ho 351, the reg 351's sucked..had around 140-150 hp?, i know mine is pretty peppy...removed all emissions stuff and put on a performer intake with true duals
