is an ajutable track bar neccisary part when putting on a 3.5 inch hanger and shackle lift or a spring hanger lift. Also what is the difference between the two types of kits. does one have any advantages over the other. how much will they effecy my payload?
anything over 2" requires and adjustable trac bar and/or a drop trac bar... your better off with the latter along with a drop pitman arm... most kits around 4" come with everything to keep your steering correct...

sounds like you're talking about the same thing. a spring hanger is half of a hanger and shackle kit (the "hanger" part, lol). you can get just the shackle, and get around 1.5"... i have one along with my 4" spring lift.
you could probably get away with leaving the track bar as it is... you'd just have some bump steer. an adjustable track bar won't help in getting it back to parallel with the drag link.. that's what the track bar drop bracket is for. i don't think you need an adjustable track bar until you start getting up there pretty good.
you'll have one hell of a time getting the stock track bar back on w/ 3.5" of lift. i bought an adjustable trac bar for my truck. as for your payload, this shouldnt affect it as you are talking about the front suspension, and not the rear.
