Tire Fitment with cut-out flares

Sorry if this is a repost. I just bought a 2003 F250 4x4 and have two questions. What tires would I fit with a leveling kit and the bushwacker cut-out fender flares? Also, what would I fit with a 4" lift with the same flares?
Thanks
Kevin

You can get 35" under it with either way. I have a 4" kit to eliminate most of the rubbing. The cut out flairs should get you into a 37-39, but you will have some rubbing on the leaf springs.

What if I got some wheel spacers or custom backspaced wheels? Would that take care of the rubbing? Another thing, I know it works that way but why would the tires rub on the leafs with the leveling kit but not the 4" kit? The springs are not any further away from the tires. I am not arguing with you because I know it works that way but just want to know why.

Thanks,
Kevin

Using standard backspaced wheels you could just simply extend your turn stops so that the wheels don't touch the leafs.. You will loose turning radius doing this tho..

with 285's and OEM wheels, your tire is about 3/4" away from the leaf springs at full lock... so, if you get 12.5" wide tires, then your starting to hit the leaf springs with the OEM wheels... hence, why its a good idea to run an aftermarket wheel with a great backspacing when 315's, or 12.5" wide tires...
