Need quick help with a Super Chip application.

I can purchase a used Super Chip that fits a 1998-2003 PSD. Will this chip also fit my 1996 PSD? I do have a plug in under the dash.
I understand that this unit can be used on several trucks as long as you return the truck to stock before unplugging the unit. Correct?

I don't think the 98-03 version will work on 96. They make a different model (1705) for the early powerstrokes.

I have a SuperChips 1705 tuner. It tunes 1994-2003 model powerstrokes. You are correct if it is unlocked from the previous vehicle you can use it on your truck.

That's exactly what I think of mine. I keep telling myself that I'm going to put in a BTS valve body and stage one injectors before I get a TW or DP tuner so I don't have to have it reburned. Cart before the horse and all that.

It sold for $190.00 plus shipping. Not bad, but not a reald deal on a used Super Chip with no guarantee. I am going to try the 10K mod when I find the link I filed some where on my laptop.
