I just had a new clutch put in to my 94 f150..the problem is that I have to mash the pedal down to the floor to change gears and now it shifts a little rough. How can I change the friction point so its not on the floor?
Right on doehnter. If he replaced the presser plate it may well not be as strong as the original and seem easer to apply. Still plenty to get the job done just not as much pressure and easier to push.
How about bleeding it again? There is a small nut on the driver side of the tranny (At least on the M50d) You gotta pump the clutch about ten times and have somebody hold it down while you get out and open and close the nut. YOu'll see the air kind of spurt out. If you just put in the clutch you probably have some air in the lines still.
Do you remember if the original pressure plate was a three finger type? I replaced my 3-finger style with a diaphram style and the pedal feel was totally different.
