My 2004, 5.4l, 4X4, cloth interior, duel air, XLT Expedition is getting close to 100,000 miles (83,000 to be exact). I was thinking about trading it in until I got the trade in numbers. The vehicle has no door dings, paint chips or damage of any kind. The only thing that detracts from it's new condition is the faded grey cladding on the drivers side door. Is it possible my $40,000 vehicle is only worth $10,000??
$10,000 its kinda low but sure wont get more than 17K for it...
i bought a 2000 EB expedition last year for $2,000 w200,000miles on it with perfect body..
there is so many on the dealers that dealers wont take more of them especially when they are over 75K miles.
check this page for your retail and trade-in values www.NADA.com
also www.cars.com and compare the ones selling in your area.
Dealer stock is flooded with used SUVs, especially pre-2004 Expys. They will really screw you on the trade in value. Even if they weren't overstocked you'd be hard pressed to get NADA or bluebook trade in on these vehicles due to low demand cause by gas prices. I traded in my '01 EB Expy in May '06 on a new '06 EB Expy and I jumped at the deal when the dealer gave me $10K for my 100K mile vehicle.

Ouch!! Seems the numbers might be correct. So.... How many miles will an Expedition get? Might have to drive this one until I have to stick oars through the doors.
