Well can you piece together a set from a FE set? Just use your FT crank gear and the rest of the FE set? I'll poke around and see where else you can get em. I thought you had the engine blow up or something.........patience.

FTE sponsor GREEN SALES has the 361/391 timing chain and both gears NOS. f700: If you want, I will call Green Sales for you on Monday, and I'll work this out for you. I have dealt with Green Sales for over 30 years.

Because of the difference in day and time (International Date Line) between Australia and Ohio, that's the reason you've heard nothing back from them yet.

FT's do not use the same timing chain and gears as an FE engine uses. I listed the FT part numbers in f700's other thread. Here they are again:

C8TZ-6256-A .. Cam Sprocket

C4TZ-6268-A .. Timing Chain

C4TZ-6306-A .. Crank Sprocket

The camshaft sprocket and timing chain is the same for all 330, 360 and 391 engines. The crank sprocket is 361 & 391 ONLY.

And here's someone in your neck of the woods to try if Greens doesn't work out.
www.australianmuscleparts.com.au
Might be better for shipping also.

Good luck,

G.

292 to 361

can i still use the engine mounts that the 292 had (rear) the bellhouseing from the 330ft fit with them , i was thinking of driling a hole in the front mount( 361) like the mount on the 292 that way i can still use the same mounting & rubber ? or just no i can,t do that , number dummy can you add to that list for me i water pump (c9ae.8505.a ) bearing kit , and if i need to get a front engine mount rember i have only one hole to mount to , so two bolts from the 361 mount to a one mount like in the 292 , i can,t wait to hear it running i thinks that all i need to get it in ,just got to match up the hose , bottom one looks the same just the top hose its bigger

Parts catalog sez: waterpump repair kit or bearing not supplied for a 330/361/391.

Front engine mounts: FT F500/700 ~ Not the same as 292

1-round insulator below crossmember = C4TZ-6039-A

1- rectanglular steel/rubber mount above crossmember and L shaped front engine mount bracket that bolts to timing cover = C4TZ-6038-A

One bolt goes through both mount & insulater from below.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rear engine mounts FT engine only.

There are two, one right, one left. They are steel and rubber. One each mounts to crossmember with one through bolt. There is a rubber insulator pad below crossmember.

2-TFAA-6038-A .. Mount

2-TFAA-6039-A .. Insulator

GREEN SALES has all these parts, let me know.

330ft/361

i have the steel mounting bracket that go,s on the timing case its just the rectanglular steel /rubber mount for the front i need , i mounted the bellhouseing with the 292 rear mounts , but i have the one off the 330ft rear i guess i will change them and they fit just nices to , no water pump rebuild kit , do they have a new pump ?
if the rear bolts are diff from the one i have ( 292 bolts), i need to get them to ,no bolts come with the 330ft to mount to the truck( all mount were on the engine & bolts ) when i got it, it had been cut out of a truck
check list
1 water pump
2 timing set
3 front rubber /steel rectanglular engine mount & bolts if diff from 292 bolts
just got to match up a hose,s im useing the 292 radialor the top hose
looks bigger
i think that all i need number dummy to get it in and running

Does the pulley press onto the pump, or is it a bolt on?

Where does the fan mount? On the waterpump or on the crankshaft?

There are a 1/2 dozen different pumps.

Uh...C9AE is an FE waterpump, also used on a 330. Is your engine a 330 or a 361??

330's use a DIFFERENT crankshaft sprocket. The same chain and cam sprocket are used for all FT's.

I just checked, Green also has the 330 sprocket if that's what you want.
