lifting

on my 86f150 4x4 i'm puttting lifting blocks in front susp(under coil).was told all i need to do is undo shocks and lower suspension.? on lower mount -is there a bolt down retainer or does it just sit in perch?

There is a 1 1/8" nut on top of a large round retainer that holds the spring to the top of the radius arm/I beam assembly. How much lift are you thinking of adding? Too much lift without lift brackets and a longer pitman arm can mess with the steering geometry.

guess i didn't mention that i'm just leveling front out.lifting blocks are 1.5-1.75 .should be just enough to level truck. thanks for the reply

who did you get your spacers from? daystar?

i thought you would have to put them (on top) of the coil;

not sure of brand(made in china stuff).they can be installed between coils or bottom.i'm gonna have to look at them again being that bottom of coil is bolted down
