Explain this!
I have a 2004 4.6. With the edge I keep getting a throttle forced code when I accelerate quickly in both setting 2 and 3. Edge said they can't help that they know some trucks do it but they don't know why. I got the bright idea to change out the Throttle position sensor hoping to correct this (there is a TSB for the 2004). I bought one at auto zone but when I went to change it out the new part had 3 contacts and the old part and plug had 4, off set and would not match up. Is it possible that my truck (and others that have this problem) were designed with a different TPS that Ford quickly went away from. It was manufactured in May of 2004. I checked other auto parts stores and none of the aftermarket TPS's are made like mine.
