headlight trouble
Has anyone had a problem with the upgraded headlight wiring and relays blowing the bulbs? I had installed the upgrade kit witch is merely a plug and play job,and installed some brighter bulbs.They lasted a couple of months and literally exploded in the lens one night doing 80 mph on the interstate.I checked for shorts and found that the factory passenger side headlight plug had gotten hot and melted a little.Now that is the plug that the wiring kit plugs into.I then cut the melted plug off and hardwired the wiring kit into the stock harness and installed the stock headlights.That lasted for about 3 months before the stock bulbs went out (they did not bust).I have not checked the voltage yet but it seems kinda like the bulbs are getting a surge or something for this problem to be happening.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
