vibration at 110kph/65mph

2003 5.4l expy, would warped rotors cause vibes at highway speed?(brakes not applied). the steering wheel shakes pretty good when brakes are applied at that speed, so I'm thinking new rotors. just got new tires installed also, still vibes. Just bought it about 3 weeks ago.

could be rotors or wheel bearings, you can have the rotors turned for around $10 each if you remove them yourself and if they are bad the shop will tell you.

I had the same prob on my 03 5.4 expy. New tires, balance and wheel alignment... slightly better. New brake rotors... slightly better yet. Took it to a tire shop with a balancer that balances from the bolt holes as opposed to traditional cone type balancer and found out the balance was quite off....fixed finally. Best 20.00 I ever spent. I would get them rebalanced first then go for the rotors.

Have your bearings, tie rods, steering arm and idler arm checked also. Yes, rotors can cause a vibration at speed without braking applied if they are warped enough. I found my rear rotors badly warped last summer when we tried everything else for a vibration.
