Rumbling and Vibration issue

Angry Rumbling and Vibration issue

First off..
Tires just balanced and rotated yesterday (second time just in case done wrong before).
New ball joints and bars installed about 50k ago.
Left front shock may be bad, but only slightly.

The issue:
At about 40-55 mph, there is a rumble in the cab, unknown origination.
Everything vibrates, although it "seems" like the left mirror is shaking more.
The seat, floor, steering wheel, everything vibrates.

When I let off the pedal, vibration and noise go away, even within the "vibe zone". It only vibes when any throttle is applied, even just a tickle.

I brought the engine up to the vibe zone RPM (1500-1800'ish) while in park and neutral, all seems fine.

I checked the U-Joints, they seem tight.

I don't have access to a scanner, unless I want to pay the dealer.

Thoughts?

do you have a lift on the truck? Could this be driveline related?

No, no lift.
I just went under again and found a slight play in the rear-most U-Joint.
I'll pick one up tomorrow and replace it.
I soaked it all down with WD to help loosen the bolts.
Do the new ones come with the locking split rings?

I would think so as well as zerks to grease them!

Funny how the upper BJs for the 4X4 are above the UJ and can't be reached....

I just finished replacing my rear u-joint. I had the same problem at about 40-50 mph. Not anymore. But now it won't go into 4th gear so I may have put the driveshaft wrong or something but good luck.

when you take the drive shaft down you mark it so it goes back in the same location. Did you do that?

Zerks? What are Zerks?

I'm having the same vibration issue with my truck. 2002 F250 4x4 w/7.3. mine has a 6" lift kit and 35" tires. It's at my mechanic's shop now.

Do you know who would have the U-J with the zerk?
I'm looking at Ed's site and it does not specify if it's zerked.

Patton, a zerk is the nipple you attach a grease gun to so you can get grease in there.
Just like you have on your front suspension.

Steve, did replacing the rear u-joint solve the problem?

so, those fittings have a name. I guess I'm late getting to the party.

I see 'em on NAPA.
Problem is, I don't know if its 3.62 over bearings or 4.19 over bearings.
They list both for my model and year.
Here are the specs as listed:

Attributes:
Bearing Type & Size : 4 Plain, 1.188 "
Fit / ID Dimensions : 4.19 " Over Bearings (or 3.62)
Contents : U-Joint, Locks, Snap Rings & Grease Fitting(s)
Kit Contents : 1 U-Joint, 4 Lock Rings, 1 Regular Grease Fitting
Warranty: Lifetime for original purchaser (less than 8,600 lbs., parts only)

Important Information: Premium
w/ 3 Joint Driveshaft
w/ 1 3/16" O.D. Bearings
w/4-3/16" Yoke

Patton, I haven't replaced it yet.
Go under and twist the tail of the shaft. grab in front of the U-J and twist.
You MAY have some play that results in a clunk sound when it moves.

i bought mine without the zerk, i got it at autozone, hopefully mine last because i also have a 6'' lift with 325s, and im also happy to let you guys know that the truck somehow is fixed, was going to the mechanic and it started shifting through all gears like nothing ever happen.
