i blew up my 8.8 three times before i sold it....finally an eaton ls kept it from blowing up the fourth time....

8.8's are no stronger than a gm 10 bolt (i even think they use the same carrier or axle bearings if i remember correctly), great for a light weight vehicle, but thats about it.

Well I am sure if I got stupid and started thrashing my truck hard enough for long enough, the 8.8 would break. It has held up so far though.
