Hah, real nice you two, thanks. No, if I wanted to go for ugly I'd grab a 48 grill or a 55 grill, seeing as you two seem to know and keep ugly so well.

Looking for help...

Phyrekitsune (Austen) who started this thread is my son. Unfortunately, we lost him in a horrible accident almost a year ago and he never had a chance to do anything major with his truck other than drive it as is. I still have his truck. My other son and I plan/hope to do the restomod work that Austen was not able to do. If anyone can send me sources of parts, supplies, etc. I would greatly appreciate it!! It will be a while before we start - we need to do some healing yet... It will be a very emotional project I am sure. Likewise, if anyone recalls discussing with him plans for the mods he wanted to do, we would really appreciate hearing about it. We want to make it every bit of what he would have done. We know his latest ideas were the grill discussed in this thread as well as a Duramax/Allison conversion. Thanks in advance.

I am sorry about your loss! I have no idea what you are going through, but I am sure working on his truck will/might give you some solace and help you through the grieving process.

I can't help you with the 51-52 grille but I am sure the other guys will be along shortly. This is the place to get friendly help. I am not sure what year your truck is but there are other forums on FTE for the year you have.

Good luck!

So very sorry to hear about the loss of your son. I hope the truck project can be a source of healing to you and your family.

If you want to see what all he was thinking about for the truck, you can left click on his name on any post, move down to "all posts by phyrekitsune" and click on it. It will show all 138 posts he made here. Clicking on any post will open that thread.

If you need anything else, just ask and we'll try to help.

Thanks.

Just wanted to say thank you for the responses. I am sure working on the truck will bring my other son and I together and strengthen an already unbreakable bond with Austen.

Thanks again.
Bob
