I know I'm probably being picky, but I have a very slight squeak in my '05 F350 (25K miles) that sounds like it could be coming from the suspension. It squeaks when I hit even small bumps in the road, it's really bad on the dirt forest service roads. My '03 V10 did it as well and I was never able to pin point the source. Has anyone else run across this? Is there a quick & easy solution?
On my 03' it is the sway bar bushings. Others have reported front spring bushings. It is easy to remove the sway bar to see if that is your squeek. The Ford bushing are not that good.
On edit I see you have a 05' so I guess it is not the leaf spring in your case.
I just spray a good lubricant on my bushings when they start to squeak and after several different times spraying them they seem to have soaked in the lube and quit squeaking. Not sure how it will affect bushing life but it is a 3 year old truck now and no problems.
