Suggestions on shocks

I have 58,000 miles on my 2001 Ranger. It is 2wd. What are the best shocks for the money? I have seen alot of products out there. What would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

I believe the AZ' Gabriel Proguard's @ $22 give a great ride with a lifetime warranty. Had them in for 1+ years. Happy with the ride.

I run Rancho RS5000's in my present and have had them in my last 4 Rangers, last time I checked they were around $35 each - can't say a bad thing about them.

Bilstein's are also very good shocks.

I run adjustable Gabriel MaxControls. They're firm, but not too firm.

I'll give +1 to sfcwoodret, I've never seen anything but good reviews for Bilsteins. They are one heck of pricey though.

Bilstiens are not only good shocks, thier one of the best shocks. Ford thought so when they put them on the level II and since I started useing them, I would have to agree.
