Holy $h*t! If I had to be on the same road as that guy the only place I'd want to be is in front of him...with a camera facing backwards to record the festivities. It would be a tossup...barfed engine/trans or a suspension collapse followed by a spectacular wreck! I thought the wooden block holding up the tailgate was a nice touch though.
That is even better than seeing my friend pull a gooseneck trailer with a 75 Chevy with a 10" or so lift, so, instead of putting the goosneck in the bed, he just hooked it up to the bumper since it was the right height.

I wish I had gotten pics, and since then, he has sold the truck, so I guess I will just wait for someone to try it on one of their trucks, and let them post pics. It was quite hilarous looking, but it was a real pain to back up.
I wanna know who the guy was that welded the tongue on the trailer like that.It looks like an a-frame trailer tongue he cut in half and welded to the sq. tubing he put on their.I'd say the tongue weight could cause that setup to twist or crack from stress
All the goosenecks I've seen have a big round piece of pipe w/ the coupler that slides in and out.
