Replacement Tailgate

There were 2 08 tailgates on ebay yesterday, not sure if they had the step or not. I want to do the same thing, except I want to get the "SUPER DUTY" filled in with filler and then have it painted to match my 99.

No way, that is the only place I like the SUPER DUTY writing on the 08. It reminds me of the old school trucks that saif FORD in big letters across the tailgate. I am not a fan of the tailgate step at all though. At least not the goofy little handle portion of it. That thing is going to get in the way every time you try to unload something, and most likely end up broken.

I bought a 2016 tailgate platinum edition and it was really cheap . It has the step and a handle and I really like it has the platinum trim that platinum trim is not cheap though I was told that it’s $1000 Once you take it off it doesn’t go back on .
