compass never calibrating

compass never calibrating

My overhead console compass seems to be perminately on "cal"mode.I've tried to set it according to the owners manual (driving in circles) and i do have it set to the proper zone according to my location but no luck.Am i just missing something?not a real big deal but it seems to just bug the hell out of me.

ANY IDEAS?

ps. just want to say thanks for all the advice ive recieved here over the time i've owned my truck.Any issue ive had someone seemed to always have an answer for it.

Yup unfortunately I have to join the group and say that mine is doing the same. Does anyone happen to know the physical location of the compass?

i thought it was the device clipped to the rear view mirror but i could be wrong

Could be a difference in years I suppose, I have a 2003 F250. But on mine I don't have anything clipped near the rear view mirror....thanks for the input though. I'll keep trying to search for it.
