2001 Tow Package or not ?

I am trying to determine if my 2001 4x2 5.4 has the factory tow package or not. The axle code is 17 which I believe means 3.31 not LS. It has the 17 rims, the hitch shown, and a 4 pin plug. I have a 27' Travel Trailer with a Base Weight of 4610, a GVWR of 6750, and a tongue weight of 475. I just added a 7 pin plug for the trailer and pulled it about 100 miles. I also have 800# weight distributing bars on the hitch. It seemed to pull OK but would downshift from 3 to 2 (I turned off OD) going up hills. I could maintain 60 mph but was turning close to 4000 rpm at times.

My questions are:

1. Does my truck have the factory tow package?
2. Should I change from the current Wrangler HP P275/60R17 tires to an LT tire?
3. Should I consider going to a 3.73 gear?
4. Can my wheels handle the increased pressure I would run in an LT tire?

I live in KY and therefore don't have much in the way of mountains to contend with. Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have an oil cooler in front of the radiator? Mine has the travel package which includes both an oil cooler and transmission cooler in front of the radiator (actually the a/c condenser.) You would also have a factory Class IV tow-bar, which is what you appear to have from the pics.

I looked. It has one additional cooler in front of the AC condenser.

I have a 2000 Expedition with 5.4 engine and 3:55 gears. I tow a 5800lb travel trailer. The Expedition handles the trailer well but last year when I needed new tires I went with Cooper discoverer atr's and they are LT's. I am very happy with them, made a big difference while towing and while not towing the thing handles much better and I really did not notice a difference in ride quality. I will say with the gears that mine has I would not want to pull anything heavier than what I have, it does down shift alot and I have to scream it on hills once in awhile, but we don't generally travel far. It is my wife's daily driver and we love the big thing. Hope this helps.

I have a 2001 Ford Expedition. It has the towing package. Ive been very happy with it. I do need shocks on the front and am looking at what to buy. I really like the auto leveling feature and the hitch with electrical plug attached. It is the 4x2, 5.4L, 3.55.
