Balancer/flywheel

Well after 240,000 miles the 302 in my 81 bronco died. I got a rebuilt long block but the casting code indicates that it is a 1995 engine. My question is should I reuse my 20oz balancer and flywheel, or do I need the 50oz? I have no smog equipment on the engine. someone told me the different weight was due to more smog equipment, is this right?
Someone please help me!!!
Thanks in advance

Smog equip has nothing to do with the balance of the motor. You need to find out from the rebuilder what the imbalance on the crank they used is and use the proper damper and flywheel to match.

One more question. Is the flywheel counter weight different from the 20oz to the 50oz crank? if so will it hurt me to run the 50oz balancer and the 20oz flywheel?

Actually the flywheel weight I believe is 28 1/2 oz and if you don't match the weights you'll vibrate the engine apart putting a lot of stress on the crank and bearings.
