1977 F100 Custom Help

Welp i got this truck given to me its a 77 F-100 Custom With a 300c.i and 3spd manual tranny, 2wheel drive. Well i know for one thing the clutch is shot, might need a new trans im looking for a reasonable priced clutch and 4spd tranny. Its going to need a full tune up,radiator needs replaced, all the vaccume lines, shocks, springs etc...
Well im new with fords ive only delt with Chevys until now, so some advice on where to start would be great and maybe some help with where i can get a cheap 4spd tranny and clutch kit! Heres a couple of pics of it.....
Oh and also i want to lower the truck some, what springs and shocks would you suggest me getting??

From what I have read, (I want to lower my F100 as well) you can only go 1.5" or so with springs, before you need 'drop beams'.

Drop Beams will give you 3" inches drop. The beams are available from Aim Industries or DJM. Most 2wd front ends would have about 4-1/2" of travel at the maximum before the I Beam comes in contact with the frame, so for daily driving you wouldn't want to drop the from, as mentioned above more than 1-1/2" - 2" without the beams. As for clutches try Auto Krafters, Blue Oval Truck Parts, and there are several other suppliers, as well as you local parts house. I'm not sure on the tranny you could try the parts yards.

Yeah taking leafs out you don't have to worry about axle wrap with an I-6, although load capacity would drop considerably. I wouldn't heat the coils, change temper, I would just cut them. Cut them half of the vertical height of what you want it to actually drop. Another option would be DJM 2" drop shackles and moving your hangers up the frame for another couple inches drop, with same ride characteristics and load handling. Also about 5" drop in the rear can be had for about a $50 axle flip kit. I
