having problems removing transfer case 1345

Does anyone have any tricks of the trade to remove a 1345 transfer case.

My transfer case mounts to what looks like a adapter of sorts and then the c6. I unbolted between the transfer case and what looks to be the adapter but can't seem to break her free.

Any thoughts?

Scott

Did you remove all 6 bolts. If so there are a couple of places you can apply a small pry bar to pop it loose.

The adapter between the c6 and transfer case does this come out with the transfer case or stay behind. I can't seem to get the transfer case loose between the t-case and the "adapter".

I always consider the adapter (extension Housing) part of the transmission and always pull the transfer case off it.

thanks I got it free!

couldn't seem to free it but there was a threaded hole on the adapter, half way up on the drivers side. Found a bolt that fit. Turned it in a few times and used this and a screw driver to set it free.

thanks
