Identificating a Tranny

Chances are good that it is an E4OD. Check your door code under "TRANS" or "TR". The shift pattern will be P R N D 2 1 with an O/D cancel button on the end of the shifter. The E4OD is a very large tranny, the AOD/AODE are not. The C6 is vacuum controlled, so there would be a vacuum line to a modulator somewhere near the rear of the tranny. The E4OD will also have a large electrical harness kind of right in the middle of the passenger side, while the AOD would have a TV (throttle valve) control cable going up to the throttle body. I'm not sure where the harness would go for the AODE, as I've never seen or messed with one.
