I think, i would prefer a regular cab long bed manual but with a 4.6l or even a 5.4l (basically a unicorn) , can someone tell me why they dont offer manual for these engines because i really think they should get this combo going.

IMO the best looking truck is a reg cab short wheel based truck jacked to the sky. Although I do not like the reg cab in our body style trucks. The ext. cab and Crew cab is the only way to go for our year model.

I need a back seat because of the kiddo (17 months).

However,I am not a fan of the super crew four door trucks.Give me the two rear suicide doors that can only be opened with the main door opened.

Smile Different strokes for different......

In reference to the statement that two door cars were more popular, there was a reason, and that is because the were cheaper to build, and buy. A four door anything was the status symbol, not the two door. My new truck is a Regular cab with a 4.2, and an automatic. I don't want to give up the room that the stick takes away from the cab, makes the center seat useless. I also figured that the automatic would have as much pulling power, or more, than the stick, even came with a different rear, more for pulling. My family is raised, and kids are gone, I don't need my 1977 F350 CrewCab anymore, and for the difference in price, it would be foolish for me to buy a bigger truck. The six is the first one I have ever owned, and sure is not a powerhouse, but gets the job done. As for style, I will keep driving my Cartier TownCar when I want to "chill".........In the end, buy what you like, and let the other guy worry about what he likes best. It all comes out in the wash........

I'm still looking for the mythical Super Duty Regular Cab short bed 4x4 with a V-10 and a manual transmission.
