I am already thinking of ways to spend the money I'm gonna earn next summer. See if this sounds feasable to y'all...I want to put a ford crate engine--specificaly jegs part #397-m-6007-A52 into my '89 F-150 4x4. It's the iron head long block 302, advertised 270HP. Can I just transfer my factory EFI stuff onto this motor? (I.E. could it be a direct swap?) Will it run correctly, or will I need to upgrade to larger injectors (and fuel regulator)and a mass-air kit(jegs part #397-m-9000-t50)?
I guess it'll also give me more of an incentive to get around to that S5-42 swap, too
Thanks for your time

If you change the crate engine cam for a stock replacement for your truck or comparable you can use your stock fuel injection setup. If you keep the cam from the crate engine it might run ok or you might need to swap to mass air. The stock injectors should be ok.
It's shame Ford doesn't offer "crate motor" deals like G.M. If they would get act together, might not be as many gm transplant into Ford.
Example: 350 lg blk $1275 New not rem.
