Going To El Paso
I know what you mean about the Grand Canyon. The first time I saw it I just stood there with my jaw scraping the ground. Truly amazing.
The Grand Canyon is truly eye-popping and worth the trip by itself.
But it is only one of many things to see on the Colorado Plateau.
There's Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Red Rock Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Zion, Bryce, I've been to them all, some of them more than once.
My wife and I love that whole area and plan to spend as much time as possible there. We vacation somewhere around the Plateau at least once every year, sometimes twice if nothing else is planned. It just feels great to be out in the high, dry, mountain air.
It's funny to think about it when you are standing on the edge of Grand Canyon looking down. The bottom of the canyon is about 3500 feet above sea level, so you are really up there.
